Shadab Higher Secondary School Srinagar conducts Cross Country Run for students
Srinagar, March 31: After a hiatus of three years due to the pandemic, Shadab higher secondary school Srinagar took the lead among the valley schools to organise a short cross country run for students of Classes Vi to X. The students ran across a distance of two (2) kms from Shalimar bridge to duck park via the foreshore road. Cross country runs aim at integrating students with nature, and instil in them discipline, direction and order in the guise of carefree enjoyment. More than 50 children supervised by 10 teachers participated in the race.
Burhan of grade 6th , Shahid 10th , and zainab 7th , zainab 9th secured the 1st position, in their respective categories were felicitated with Trophy?? and certificate.
Mohd Massih of grade 6th, Moomin 10th, Rutba 7th and Arwa 8th secured the 2nd position in their respective categories were felicitated with certificates and
Hamza of grade 6th, Azaan 8th ,safia 8th Mufti Duha 8th secured 3rd positions in their respective categories were felicitated with certificates.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Nuzhat wadera said, “It is such a delight to see that students are able to re-experience the joys of running and competing while letting their hair down. In the days to come, we will organise more such events so that students can be integrated back into the environment that nurtures them.
